You're talking about making a screencast from a part of your Desktop? Yes you can do that in WS4GL. Add a Desktop source, select the size of the capture, and uncheck "Follow Mouse Cursor". WS4GL will then ask you to select the area part of the desktop you can to capture by showing a "frame" to put on your desktop.
The frame will disapear once you click, but I am trying to find a way to keep a red frame that would show where the capture is occuring.
